We are pleased to welcome Mohsen Mortazavi Najafabadi as a visiting PhD researcher at the BNB Lab!
Mohsen is a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering and obtained his Master's degree from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, where he developed a Stewart platform robot for ankle rehabilitation. Since December 2022, he has been pursuing his PhD at Łódź University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dariusz Grzelczyk and Dr. Mohammed Ashtiani.
His research focuses on the relationship between ankle proprioception and postural balance in older adults. In this context, he has developed a dedicated device to assess proprioception using both joint position sense and movement sense approaches.
Mohsen is currently visiting the BNB Lab, supervised by Prof. Dr. Jeroen Aeles. During his stay, he aims to gain hands-on experience with advanced experimental techniques such as electromyography, dynamometry, and ultrasound imaging, while further expanding his expertise in neuromuscular research.
