Eva D'Hondt

Prof. dr. Eva D'Hondt (°14/01/1985) graduated in 2007 as a Master in Physical Education and Movement Sciences at Ghent University (UGent) and also obtained her PhD degree at the same institution in 2011 with a doctoral thesis on "Motor competence in overweight and obese children”. Since November 2014, she is a full-time professor at the Department of Movement and Sport Sciences (BESW) of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy (LK) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). In addition to a varied educational package, her research activities and international track record are situated within the domains of motor competence, development and control; kinanthropometry; physical activity, fitness and health. Since 2020, she is head of the Movement and Nutrition for Health and Performance (MOVE) Research Group and, since 2016, she acts as co-chair of the UGent-VUB Alliance Research Group Physical Activity and Nutrition (PANU).+H2
