Ron Clijsen
Biography
Dr. Ron Clijsen (°26/07/1968) graduated with a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy at the “Vrije Universiteit Brussels” in Belgium in 2013. He obtained a Master of Science in physical therapy sciences in 2004 and graduated from International Academy for physiotherapy “Thim van der Laan”, Utrecht, Netherlands in 1994 with a professional Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy. He has been working as a (sports) physiotherapist since 1994. Currently he is head of research (2rLab, Landquart) and senior lecturer at the Department of Health Sciences, University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (Landquart). He is program coordinator from the master’s degree in sport physiotherapy at the University of Applied Sciences Bern, Switzerland. He is senior lecturer, research member and head of continuing education at International University of Applied Sciences THIM (Switzerland) and post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Sport and Movement Sciences of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy at the “Vrije Universiteit Brussels”. Research areas of interest: Rehabilitation sciences, evidence based (sports) physiotherapy, exercise physiology, transdermal drug penetration, human performance and aspects of health.
