Nikki Rommers

Nikki Rommers is a sports physiotherapists who obtained a joint-PhD degree from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University in 2020. Her PhD-research focused on injury incidence and risk factors in Belgian elite-level youth football players between 9 and 15 years of age. Nikki's research interests are situated in the field of injury epidemiology and injury prevention, the developmental trajectories of talented young athletes, as well as in the field of growth and maturation, with a specific interest in health and sport participation.
