Erich Hohenauer
Biography
Dr. Erich Hohenauer (°02/12/1983) graduated in 2009 as a Master of Physical Therapy Sciences. In 2018, he obtained a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel with a doctoral thesis on "Cryotherapy in Exercise Performance and Recovery". He is a senior researcher at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland and senior lecturer at the International University of Applied Sciences THIM for pathology and responsible for the scientific education. Erich Hohenauer is the head of educational committee at THIM and supervisor of MSc. and BSc. students. Since 2019, he is an official international ambassador for cryotherapy treatments. At the moment, he is a post-doctoral researcher at the "Extreme Environments Laboratory" at the University of Portsmouth (UK). His research focus on the psycho-physiolgical and motor-behavior of the human body under extreme environmental conditions.
